Como funciona
Neutraza brings together those who care for the forest and those who want to be part of protecting it.
Guardians
They are responsible for looking after Legal Reserves. They join the platform, register the area and upload the reserve’s documents and maps.
Certification
Neutraza carries out the technical review of the documents, validates the registration and sets up satellite monitoring. The area then becomes available for adoption.
Holder
Chooses the reserve, or part of it, to support its preservation. Follows everything on an exclusive dashboard and receives the Neutraza certificate, with a verifiable QR code, to see their forest at any time.
The reserve stays alive
And stays well cared for: the Guardian receives the payments and has the resources to keep the forest healthy.

What a Legal Reserve is and what it is for
The Legal Reserve is the part of a rural property set aside to conserve native vegetation, under Brazil's Forest Code (Law No. 12,651/2012). It helps protect the region's biodiversity, water and soil.

- Those who preserve can be paid for it. And those who support know exactly which forest they are helping.

- Satellites follow the area: Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-1 (Copernicus/ESA), Google imagery and the MapBiomas historical series.
What a FRU is
Each FRU (Forest Reserve Unit) represents support for the conservation of one hectare of Legal Reserve. It has its own identification and a single holder. Adoption does not transfer ownership of the land.

What has changed in the conservation and monitoring of forests
2023: Crisis of confidence in the voluntary market
Investigations into forest credits raised doubts about the voluntary carbon market. As a result, demand grew for ways to protect forests that anyone can verify.
2024: Law 15.042
Brazil established the Brazilian Emissions Trading System (SBCE), a step toward creating its regulated carbon market. The system is still being implemented.
2025: EUDR in force
The EUDR, the European Union regulation on deforestation-linked products, has already been postponed twice. It starts to apply on 30 December 2026 for medium and large companies and, in general, on 30 June 2027 for micro and small companies. Anyone placing products covered by the rule on the European market must show that they do not come from deforested areas. To do that, knowing where they came from is essential.
Today: The forest can be monitored by satellite
Today, satellite imagery and public maps make it easier to follow the vegetation cover of a Legal Reserve. The Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellites help identify changes in the area. With Google Earth, you can view the reserve and compare images from different periods; MapBiomas shows how land cover and land use have changed over the years.
